One (1) year limited warranty

How is the Consumer Protection law related to this warranty?

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights, which vary by state or by country or state. In addition to what is permitted by law, Apple does not exclude, limit or suspend other rights that you may have, including those that may arise from the lack of conformity of a contract of sale. To fully understand your rights, you should consult the laws of your country, province, or state.

Warranty limitations subject to the Consumer Protection Law.  

To the extent permitted by law, this warranty and stated repairs are exclusive and supersede all other verbal, written, legal, express or implied warranties, repairs and conditions. Apple disclaims all legal and implied warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose and warranties against latent or hidden defects, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent that such warranties cannot be waived, apple limits the duration and repairs of such warranties to the duration of this express warranty and, at apple's discretion, the repair or replacement services described below. Some states (countries and provinces) do not allow time limitations on how long an implied warranty (or condition) lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

What does this warranty cover?

Apple warrants the apple iPhone, iPad, iPod, Apple TV or Home pod hardware product, as well as apple brand accessories in the original packaging (“apple product”), against defects in materials and workmanship, when are routinely used in accordance with Apple's published guidelines, for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase by the end-user purchaser (“warranty period”). The warranty period already includes the applicable statutory warranty period of your country or province. Apple's published guidelines include, without limitation, information contained in technical specifications, user manuals, and service communications.

Note: All claims made under apple's one-year limited warranty will be governed by the terms set forth in this warranty document.  

What is not covered by this warranty?

This warranty does not apply to non-Apple hardware products or to any software, even if packaged or sold with Apple hardware. This warranty does not affect your rights under applicable consumer protection legislation. Manufacturers, vendors, or publishers other than Apple may provide you with their own warranties. Contact them for more information. Software distributed by Apple with or without the Apple brand (including, without limitation, system software) is not covered by this warranty. Please refer to the license agreement attached to the software for details of your rights regarding use. Apple does not guarantee that the operation of the Apple product will be uninterrupted or error-free. Apple is not responsible for damages arising from failure to follow the instructions regarding the use of the Apple product.

This warranty does not apply to:

  • To consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to wear out over time, unless the failure is due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

  • Superficial damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, and plastic breaks on ports, unless failure is due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

  • Damage caused by use with a third-party component or product that does not meet Apple product specifications (Apple product specifications are available at www.apple.com , in the technical specifications section of each product, and also in the stores).

  • Damage caused by accidents, abuse, misuse, fire, contact with liquids, earthquakes or other external causes. 

  • Damage caused by using the Apple product in violation of Apple's published guidelines. 

  • Damage caused by a service (including updates and extensions) performed by anyone other than an Apple representative or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP).

  • To an Apple product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without Apple's written permission.

  • Defects caused by normal wear and tear or attributable to the effect of time on the Apple product. 

  • If any Apple product serial number has been removed or defaced. 

  • If the appropriate public authorities inform Apple that the product or equipment was stolen, or if you are unable to deactivate the activated code or other security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access to the Apple product and have no means to prove that it is the authorized user of the product (for example, by submitting proof of purchase)

Important restriction for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Home pod service

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Home pod to the country where Apple or its authorized resellers originally sold the device.

Your responsibilities

You should make regular backup copies of the information on your apple product storage media to protect the content and as a precaution against possible malfunction.

 

Before receiving warranty service, Apple or Mac Line Inc.  They may require you to submit proof of purchase details, answer questions designed to help diagnose potential problems, and follow Apple's procedures for obtaining warranty service. Before submitting your Apple product for warranty service, you should maintain a separate backup of the contents of your storage media, delete any personal information you want to protect, and disable all security passwords.

 

During warranty service, the contents of the storage media will be deleted and reformatted. Apple and Mac Line Inc. are not responsible for any loss of software, data, or other information contained on the storage media or any other part of the apple product that is serviced.

 

After warranty service, your repaired product will be returned to you as your Apple product was configured when originally purchased, subject to appropriate updates. As part of warranty service, Apple or Mac Line Inc. may install system software updates that will prevent the Apple product from reverting to a previous version of the system software. Third-party applications installed on the Apple product may not be compatible or may not work with the Apple product as a result of the system software update. You will be responsible for reinstalling all other software, data, and information. Recovery and reinstallation of other software, data, and information are not covered by this warranty.

Important: Do not open the Apple product or equipment. Opening the equipment may cause damage that is not covered by this warranty. Only Apple or an Apple authorized service provider (AASP) should perform repairs on the Apple product or equipment.

What will Apple do in the event of a breach of warranty?

If during the warranty period you submit a valid claim to Apple or an AASP pursuant to this warranty, Apple may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the Apple product with new parts or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability.

  • Replace the Apple product or equipment with the same model (or, with your consent, a product or equipment that has similar functionality) consisting of new parts or, with prior written consent, previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability.

  • Trade in the Apple product for a refund of the purchase price.

Apple may request that you replace certain Apple products or equipment or parts that can be installed by the user. An Apple product or replacement part, including a user-installable part that was installed in accordance with the instructions provided by Apple, acquires the remaining period of the warranty or ninety (90) days from the date replacement or repair, whatever gives you longer coverage. When an Apple product or part is replaced, or a refund is provided, the replacement items will become your property, and the replaced or refunded item will become the property of Apple and must be returned to Apple.

Access and review the online help resources described below before seeking warranty service. If your Apple product or equipment is still not working properly after using these resources, contact an Apple representative or, if applicable, an Apple-owned store (Apple "retail") or an AASP, using the information provided below. An Apple representative or an AASP will help you determine if your Apple product requires service and, if so, how Apple will provide it. When you contact Apple by phone, other charges may apply depending on your location.

Warranty service options

Apple will provide warranty service through one or more of the following options:

Limitation of liability

Except as provided in this warranty and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Apple is not liable for direct, special, incidental or indirect damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including as following:  

  • Loss of use

  • Loss of income

  • Loss of actual or anticipated benefits (including loss of benefits from contracts)

  • Loss of use of money

  • Loss of anticipated savings

  • Loss of business activity

  • Lost opportunities

  • Loss of good business name

  • Loss of reputation

  • Lost 

  • Damage

  • Data compromise or corruption

  • Any indirect loss or damage, whatever the causes, including replacement of equipment and property

  • Any recovery costs

  • Programming or playback of any program or data stored or used with the Apple product or equipment

  • Any failure to maintain the confidentiality of information stored on the Apple product

The above limitation will not apply to claims for death or personal injury or to any legal liability for acts or omissions of gross and willful negligence. Apple disclaims any representation that it will be able to repair any Apple product or equipment under this warranty or that it will replace the Apple product without risk to the information stored on the Apple product or equipment or without loss of such information.

Some states (countries and provinces) do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.  

Generalities

No reseller, agent, or employee of Apple or Mac Line Inc. is authorized to make modifications, extensions, or additions to this warranty. If any term is considered illegal or impossible to enforce, the legality and enforceability of the remaining terms will not be affected or diminished. This warranty is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which the Apple product or equipment was purchased. Apple is identified at the end of this document according to the country or region in which the Apple product or equipment was purchased.
